Welcome to St Stephen’s
You may be feeling new here – if so, you are really welcome. I started as vicar here in January 2009 and have enjoyed getting to know people; I hope you find it easy and enjoyable too.
This is a time of new beginnings for the parish, not only new leaders with the new directions that will involve but at the same time, we are making progress towards building a bigger church and ministry centre alongside our original building. This is clearly needed so we can welcome more people into the church and better serve the growing population on the peninsula who need a place to praise and worship God and for the use of the community.
Our desire is to provide an environment where you can come to know people who love Jesus and in time follow his calling and grow to love him too. We trust you will find a warm welcome, good friendships and fun as you explore some of those bigger issues and questions of life.
Have a look around the website, perhaps read a sermon or two and then if you are around Whangaparaoa at a service time (Sun 8am & 10am, Thurs 10am) why not drop in and see us - we don't bite! Please make yourself known to me or the greeters on the door.
We’re glad you’re visiting.
Best wishes,
|
